Using the Tavistock systems-psychodynamic approach, simple yet profound concepts from systems thinking inform my work with you.
These include: primary task, role, boundary, authority, power, work group, system/subsystem and 'organisation-in-the-mind'.
This will help bring clarity in your work context, empowering individuals in their role and your team as a whole.
This is particularly important in organisations and systems that are increasingly networked and in which boundaries might feel complex or authority unclear.
Using principles from psychodynamics and group relations (including the ideas of Wilfred Bion) I help you surface deeper currents at play.
These might include: hidden assumptions, preoccupations and tensions in the team's work, different perceptions, (unhelpful) patterns of behaviour or emotional experiences.
Understanding what's occurring under the surface can help you and your team acknowledge deeper dynamics impacting team performance.
This approach builds reflective capacity, supporting emotional containment and wellbeing.
I facilitate sessions both in person and online. Sessions can be stand-alone or form a programme or series.
Observations, interviews, questionnaires, themed group discussions, theory, action learning, reflective practice and mapping/drawing exercises.
